Day 2 Sunday   Dubrovnik

On the first morning, we will visit the Pearl of the Adriatic (Dubrovnik’s well deserved title), enjoying the old city center including the Pile Gate, Big Onofrio´s Fountain, Roland's Column, Bell Tower, Placa Stradun, Dominican Monastery, Franciscan Monastery and Rector's Palace.

In the afternoon relax and enjoy Dubrovnik at your own pace:

Day 3 Monday   Bay of Kotor – Mount Lovcen – Becici

We leave Dubrovnik in direction of the Montenegro border crossing passing through the Konavlje plain. Our first stop will be the city of Perast in the magnificent Bay of Kotor. In Perast we shortly board small boats to reach the islet of the votive church of Our Lady of the Rocks. Later we drive on to Kotor. We’ll enjoy our first Montenegrin lunch before discovering the impressive UNESCO site and among other the cathedral of Saint Tryphon, the Maritime Museum, Saint Luke as well as Saint Nicholas and Saint Mary Churches. We then take the most famous panoramic serpentine road followed by a road through the heart of Lovćen National Park to the spectacular Njegoš Mausoleum, sitting atop the mountain’s second-highest peak Jezerski Vrh at 1657m (5400 feet).

From there, we will drive down to Becici one of the famous beach resorts in Montenegro.

Day 4 Tuesday Becici – Cetinje – Sipcanik wine Cellar – Lake Skadar cruise- Bar

Our program brings us to the former capital of Montenegro, the town of Cetinje. We will see Biljarda - the residence of Petar II Petrovic Njegos, King Nikola’s Palace, the Monastery of Cetinje. It’s now time for us to visit another unique site with 2.300 ha of vineyards, it is one of the largest and certainly most beautiful in Europe. The Cemovsko polje and the Plantaze vineyards with a unique facility at Sipcanik where we will enjoy a pairing of food and wines made of the autochthonous grapes Vranac and Krstač. Next we drive to the largest lake of the Balkan peninsula on the border between Montenegro and Albania. In Virpazar we will board a boat and explore the wild beauty of one of the largest bird reserves in Europe, the Skadar lake. We will then proceed to our hotel in Bar.

Day 5 Wednesday Bar-Kolasin-Durdiceva Tara-Crno Jezero- Zabljak

Today we briefly board our Minibus to reach the train station of Bar where we will board the train for an unforgettable scenic journey that will bring us to the mountain station of Kolasin at the altitude of 954 meters. There, our minibus is waiting to continue our journey towards Durdiceva Tara, a famous bridge built between 1938 &1940 when it was the biggest concrete arch bridge in Europe. En route we will make a lunch pause in the former hunting villa of Milovan Dilas a leading Montenegrin political that became one of the most famous Yugoslav dissident. We then proceed to Crno Jezero (the black lake) and our hotel in Zabljak.

Day 6 Thursday Zabljak-Sarajevo

During this sixth day, we will quit Montenegro and enter Bosnia & Herzegovina. We will enjoy a scenic drive through the Durmitor natural Park and then along the Drina river canyon passing by the Piva lake (pivsko jezero). We will then proceed to the Capital city of the Bosnia And Herzegovina Federation Sarajevo.

Day 7 Friday Sarajevo

Sarajevo is one of the few cities in the world that features an Orthodox church, a Catholic church and a mosque. Out from here the city’s history unfolds – from Ottoman-era buildings to the elaborate constructions of the Austro-Hungarian period by contrast to the ugly structures reminiscent from the communist era. The sightseeing includes the Jewish quarter, old part Bascarsija, war tunnel, tunnel of hope, Bascarsija, Sebilj, Morica han, Bey's Mosque and madrasa, Bezistan, Ferhadija street, Cathedral, market place Markale, Eternal Flame, The Orthodox Church, Taslihan, Princip bridge, Atmejdan, Emperor - Fatih mosque, Inat Kuća and City Hall. The rest of the day is yours at leisure.

Day 8 Saturday Sarajevo -Konjic- Jablanica-Mostar

We leave Sarajevo in the morning in direction of Mostar. We first take a small portion of the new Bosnian highway to continue with a scenic ride to our final destination of the day : Mostar. Passing the mountainous region, we will drive along the Tresanica river until we reach Konjic, one of the oldest Bosnian settlements 4000 year old city. Apart from one of the important bridges dating from the times of the ottoman empire Konjic is famous because of former Yugoslav president Tito’s 4,6 billion U$ atomic war command which construction started in 1953. After the visit, we’ll follow the road to Jablanica alongside the Neretva river and lunch some local delicacies in a local restaurant. Jablanica was the site of the Battle of Neretva during WW2, where the Partisans managed to win a very unlikely battle. The remains of the destroyed bridge and the war museum are visited before continuing towards the main city of Herzegovina, Mostar. Upon arrival visit of the old city, including among other sites, the Old bridge, the Old Bazaar (Kujundziluk), the Koskin Mehmed Mosque & the Turkish house.

Day 9 Sunday Mostar- Pocitelj – Ploce – Trpanj – Saint Hills Winery – Korcula Island

The day commences with a short drive along the Neretva river for a visit to Pocitelj, an adorable oriental city where time seems to have stopped during the ottoman Empire. We then proceed to the Port of Ploce to embark the ferry to the Peninsula of Peljesac, home to the best Croatian wine producers. After a 50-minute journey, we reach Trpanj and shortly after the Saint Hills winery for a visit crowned by a wine and food pairing. Later we reach the neighboring island of Korcula after a 15 minutes Ferry journey from Orebic.

Day 10 Monday Korcula-Orebic-Prapatno-Ston-Dubrovnik

This morning we will visit the old city center of Korcula and then head for Orebic for a visit to the Korta Katarina winery and enjoy a wine degustation before joining Prapratno for  Oysters, Mussels and Fish Lunch passing through the famous Peljesac wine route. After lunch we will enjoy the beauty of Ston and Mali Ston and then return to our start point.

The evening is yours to enjoy Dubrovnik by night or alternatively ,season and weather permitting, an unforgettable dinner sunset cruise on the legendary Carrack boat “Karaka”.
