Dalmatia – as a movie set

Day 1 : Split 

Devised as a kind of time machine that begins with projection of movie “The grandmaster's finances” (1924.) and getting acquainted with parts of the town that no longer exist, but which remained logged on the movie tape. Followed by the guided tour of the town center which includes the story of Split old cinemas “Karaman” (one of the oldest cinemas in Europe and the oldest in Croatia with the continuity of work), “movie library Zlatna vrata” and its history, as well as locations that once used to be cinemas. Lunch. Tour of Diocletian's palace and substructures, Peristyle and other town locations where the planetary popular series “GAME OF THRONES”scenes were shot. Visit to the cult cinema in Split – summer cinema Bačvice. Overnight in Split 1#.

Day 2 : Split - Klis - Žrnovnica - Sinj - Split

Breakfast. Departure to visit Split surrounding – Fortress of Klis. Did the family Targaryen from” GAME OF THRONES” series know that Klis fortress used to be the residence of croatian princes and kings since 9th century and therefore placed City of Meereen there? "Meereen is ancient and glorious. Try not to ruin her" are Daario Naharis's words, the adviser and Daenerys Targaryen's executor. Continuation of “GAME OF THRONES” movie set locations tour which takes us to Žrnovnica, in quarry which was used in the scene of Daenerys's arrival to Meereen, and to Antoničin Mill where the Melisandre's bath scene was shot. Lunch. The series adventure continues to Sinj for archery and crossbow activities. Overnight in Split 2#.

Day 3 : Split – Omiš – Split

Breakfast. Morning spent on rafting activities in Cetina river canyon. Lunch. Departure towards Omiš, Radmanove Mills and village Kučiće where, in early 60s, the cult series of movies on WINNETOU was shot. It's about an imaginary Apache Indian chief whose character was created by the German writer Karl May in his novels. Tour of locations which hosted 4 out of 9 movies in total about Winnetou. Tour of Omiš region end with the visit of Sv. Leopold Mandić path. Return to Split. Overnight 3#.

Day 4 : Split – Vis – Komiža

Breakfast. Departure from Split to Vis in the morning. MAMMA MIA! Here We Go Again… Tour of town of Vis and locations in the town center where the movie was shot, stories about actors who stayed on the island and how they spent their time. Lunch. Departure by bus to Komiža, followed by leisure time. Dinner. Visit to summer cinema Komiža (open air cinema). Overnight in Komiža 4#.

Day 5 : Komiža – Vis – Split

Breakfast. Tour of Komiža and locations in Komiža on which MAMMA MIA movie was shot. Continuing by boat to Barjoška inlet, one of the main locations of the movie set; swimming and photo taking. Picnic lunch. Return to Vis and departure to Split in the late afternoon. Overnight in Split 5#.

Day 6 : Split – Hvar – Pakleni islands – Hvar

Breakfast. Departure from Split to Hvar in the morning. Sightseeing of town of Hvar and storytelling about the movie The Odyssey on Jacques Yves Cousteau, the legendary sea researcher and director of a series of documentary films. Departure to Pakleni islands, one of the movie set locations. Lunch. Departure to Pokonji dol inlet, movie set location and visit to Summer cinema in Hvar located in Veneranda fortress. Overnight in Hvar 6#.

Day 7 : Hvar – Malo Grablje – Velo Grablje – Zaraće – Stari Grad – Split

Breakfast. The day starts with the morning swim in Jagodna inlet, movie set location for The Odyssey. Visit of eco-ethno village Malo Grablje - Velo Grablje – Zaraće and we follow the story of the local hit maker movie The Eighth Commissioner that deals with the topic of island life. Continuation towards town of Stari Grad enjoying the colors and scents of Hvar island. Upon arrival, sightseeing of town of Stari Grad. Lunch. Return boat ride from Stari Grad to Split in the afternoon. Overnight in Split 7#.

Day 8 : Split

Breakfast. End of program.
